Elio has been interested in health since an early age. He grew up in Colombia observing his father, a general practitioner, connect with clients by having the time to listen and understand each patient as an individual. From this Elio learnt that caring for each person should lay the foundations of a therapeutic relationship.
In 2008 Elio graduated as a Registered Nurse, since then he has been working at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown, mainly in the area of Intensive Care. The years of work in critical area taught Elio that health preservation and quality of life should be priority in any health system. It was because of this that Elio was drawn towards the millenarian art of traditional Chinese Medicine and its associated philosophy of living; Chinese Medicine attempts to restore health by promoting good practices, encouraging physical and mental activity, and by finding balance using simple yet effective therapies.
