Dr. McDowall is a 1974 Graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic University. He holds a Diplomate (Fellowship) by examination from the International College of Applied Kinesiology 1978. He also holds a Master of Applied Science (Musculoskeletal Management-Applied Kinesiology) 2006 and is a 2008 Fellow of the Australian College of Chiropractors. Currently Dr. McDowall is a PhD Candidate investigating the foundation principles of chiropractic
