I began my career at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne in 1977. While apprenticed there, I trained in such disciplines as Crown & Bridge, Cobalt Chrome, Prosthetics (dentures etc), special prosthetics (special case denture construction) and Orthodontics. Once qualified I gained valuable experience by working a further 2 years concentrating mainly on Orthodontics and Prosthetics. I later commenced the clinical course to qualify as a Dental Prosthetist (or clinical dental technician). More recently I undertook the advanced diploma.
For many years I practiced in Portland as well as Oak Park. The work flow at the Oak Park denture clinic became such that I had to conclude my trips to the country. In 2012, I was elected to the committee of ADPA(vic.)
