Moving to the Alstonville area in 1997, Dr Glen Hughes joined the Plateau Dental Care team as an associate dentist. Completing his dental degree (with honours) from the University of Sydney in 1989 Dr Hughes spent the early years of his career working across a number of practices nationally and internationally, particularly developing countries. In 2006 he returned to university to obtain his Masters in International Health and since then continues to further his research in the field of dentistry through the University of Sydney and the Rowan Nicks Russell Drysdale Fellowship. In addition to his role at Plateau Dental Care, Dr Hughes also works at the Casino Aboriginal Medical Service.
