Dr McCarthy grew up on Sydney’s North shore. He attended the University of Sydney where he completed a Bachelor of Medical Science followed by a Bachelor of Dentistry, graduating with Honours. He has also attained The University of Sydney’s prestigious one and a half year Graduate Diploma of Implantology.
Dr McCarthy is a principal dentist at Gordon Dental. In addition to general dentistry he has a particular interest in pediatric, cosmetic and implant dentistry. He believes in personalising treatment plans to address the needs of individual patients over their lifetime and is passionate about making high quality dental care available to all.
Dr McCarthy is a clinical tutor at the University of Sydney where he teaches general dentistry to the next generation of dentists. He is also a member of the Australian Dental Association.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr McCarthy enjoys scuba diving and bush-walking.
