Yana was raised in both Melbourne and New Zealand. She gained her General Dental degree in Queensland in 2008 with an academic excellence award and practiced general dentistry for 5 years. Having had orthodontic treatment herself, Yana wanted to make a life-long difference to her patients and was accepted into a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry postgraduate program at the University of Otago in New Zealand.
During her orthodontic training, she was awarded an academic scholarship, presented at conferences and taught general dental students. Yana was admitted into the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Specialist Stream in Orthodontics in 2016. She is certified by the Australasian Orthodontic Board.
Yana strives to achieve the best for each patient and continually updates her knowledge and skills by being a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontics and attending local and international meetings.
