Graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1984, Dr Alan Lim now has over 30 years’ experience in the dental industry. Dr Lim’s career has seen him practice in rural and suburban areas of WA. Dr Lim has a keen interest in Sleep Medicine and Dentistry, but also enjoys composite bonding, Crown and bridge work, Endodontics, Periodontics, Implants, TMD and Orthodontics.
Dr Lim is passionate about all aspects of Sleep Dentistry and has spent years researching to advance our understanding of Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). His treatment philosophy stems from the belief that there is an additional occlusal and airway connection to TMD.
Alan is currently involved in research in Sleep Medicine (OSA) in conjunction with the University of Western Australia. 15 of his patients were involved in a trial at the University where Dr Lim treated them using the Oventus appliance.
