Catherine has worked across primary and secondary schools, providing special education support classes in a variety of socio-demographic areas. Catherine has experience working with refugee and asylum seeker populations in immigration detention centres which enabled her to work closely with children, adolescents and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Catherine has experience providing intervention for trauma, depression, anxiety, and major mental health disorders as well as providing risk assessments. Catherine has also been involved in providing urgent psychological services, clinical counselling, critical incident defusing, manager support and high level client-focused liaisons. Catherine has a special interest working with adolescents and adults over a wide range of issues – stressful life situations, anxiety, depression, grief, sleep disturbances, family issues and self-esteem.
