Dr Philip Fung arrived in Australia from Hong Kong in 1963 and gained his medical degree from Monash University in 1970. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1979 and was a partner at Warrandyte Road Clinic from 1976 till 2013.
He enjoys all facets of general medicine, caring for patients from birth to late age. In addition to his work at the clinic, he cares for patients at their homes and consults regularly at several nursing homes in the Ringwood area. He often provides palliative care for terminally ill patients in their homes. He now works 3 days a week as well as some Saturdays. He is fluent in English and Cantonese.
Outside of medicine, Dr Fung enjoys spending time with his 3 children and 7 grandchildren. He is a keen Essendon supporter, plays golf regularly (although he's still waiting for the perfect swing!) and enjoys opera, classical music and reading.
