Mr Siva Sundararajan is a qualified general and obesity surgeon. His main areas of interest are weight loss surgery, gall bladder and hernia surgery. To ensure that the best possible care is provided to his patients, he has undertaken extensive training in the UK, Australia and Europe.
Siva graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2003. After many years of surgical training, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016.
To pursue his interest in obesity surgery, he did a fellowship at Box Hill Hospital in Melbourne in a high volume bariatric surgery unit with expert surgeons. His mentors there were the first in Australia to perform robotic bariatric robotic bariatric surgery and had pioneered obesity surgery in Australia. Siva also travelled to Europe to work with Dr Bruno Dillemans, a world-renowned bariatric surgeon.
Siva is also in the Royal Australian Airforce as a military surgeon with the rank of Wing Commander.
