Dr. Colin Walsh is an experienced Obstetrician and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist, who has been providing pregnancy care for almost 20 years.
MFM specialists are experts in high-risk and complex pregnancy care. Maternal-Fetal Medicine is the highest qualification an obstetrician can achieve and it requires years of additional advanced training. Most obstetricians do not hold this qualification.
Colin is also very happy to look after healthy women who are having a normal pregnancy and birth. He is proud of his successful vaginal birth rate and also supports women who choose a caesarean birth.
Colin’s areas of expertise include medical disorders in pregnancy (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, thyroid disease); twin pregnancies; women with pregnancy complications (e.g. short cervix, pre-term birth, pre-eclampsia); babies with complications (e.g. fetal growth restriction, chromosomal disorders); IVF pregnancies and older mothers.
