Dr Gopalan Poovalingam is a Gynaecologist specialising in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (Keyhole Surgery), with a special interest in Urogyaecology, general and complex gynaecological disorders. Dr G has provided superior specialised gynaecology expertise to women across Melbourne for over a decade. His advanced gynaecology experience has allowed him to manage various gynaecological issues such as excessive and painful periods, endometriosis, infertility, uterine fibroids and menopause amongst others.
His specialist training in urogynaecology has not only given him the skills and knowledge required to treat complex cases of vaginal prolapse, but also allowing him to draw on his extensive experience to identify, treat and manage the different subtypes of urinary incontinence in women.
Dr Gopalan is a member of the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery society (AGES), International Urogynaecological Association (IUGA) and Urogynaecological Society of Australasia (UGSA).
