Kate Perkins of Lymphatic Solutions, holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from University of Sydney. She is also a qualified Lymphoedema Practitioner and a member of the Australasian Lymphology Association. Kate is passionate about the early detection and management of breast cancer related lymphoedema, providing pre & post breast cancer treatment lymphoedema monitoring programs using evidence based technology. Kate also assesses and manages later stage lymphoedema. As part of her Occupational Therapy services, Kate is able to provide components of Complex Lymphoedema Therapy including: Physical Evaluation and Patient History; Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) massage; compression bandaging; circumferential limb measures; garment prescription; psychosocial support; and patient education related to skin care, exercise, diet, and travel.
