Originally from Toronto, Canada, Andrew earned a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo following the completion of his Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree at Queen's University. He graduated on the Dean's Honours List and was granted the Award for Excellence in Patient Management by the Ontario Association of Optometrists.
Global learning and practice remains central to Andrew's core values and his emphasis is on managing ocular conditions such as keratoconus, corneal grafts and paediatric aphakia, Andrew is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care and education to patients on eye health. He gets great satisfaction from fitting children with contact lenses, in particular infants with congenital cataracts, and loves interacting with babies and their families. He is currently a Clinical Supervisor in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne and the Course Facilitator for the Specialist Certificate in the Management of Contact Lens Patients.
