Shaneel’s initial involvement with orthodontics was as a teenage boy when he had his own orthodontic treatment completed. Inspired by his experience Shaneel went on to study Dentistry at Melbourne University. After graduation, Shaneel Shastri worked in general dentistry for 5 years both in Melbourne and Cairns. During that time he developed a strong interest in aesthetic dentistry and multidisciplinary treatment planning while continuing his further education resulting in his fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Shaneel then pursued specialist orthodontic training completing his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics. His training encompassed all aspects of orthodontic treatment including special expertise in Invisalign treatments. Shaneel is certified by the Australian Orthodontic Board (AOB).
Shaneel is delighted to be back working in the area he was brought up in. He brings to the practice a wealth of experience and knowledge in Orthodontics.
