Dr Peter Walker is a highly qualified Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon who has practiced for over 20 years in the treatment of hip and knee conditions.
Dr Walker has extensive experience with hip and knee replacements, hip and knee arthroscopies and ACL reconstructions. He has performed over 15,000 hip and knee operations.
After graduating with Honours in his MBBS from the University of New South Wales, Dr Walker was awarded the Zimmer Travelling Fellowship. He undertook fellowships overseas in world-renowned hip and knee surgical units in Boston and Toronto. He currently works in both public and private hospitals and is Head of the Orthopaedic Department at Concord Hospital.
Dr Walker is heavily involved in research and teaching. In addition to being part of several prosthetic design teams, he has numerous issued and pending patents on innovative hip replacement techniques and a number of sports fixation devices to improve patient outcomes.
