Dr Gauguin Gamboa holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Doctor of Medicine degree. Both primary qualifications where obtained from his home country’s premier university, the University of the Philippines. He completed his primary Orthopaedic Training at the Philippine General Hospital, the country’s national tertiary hospital. He graduated from orthopaedic training with top honours, having been awarded the “Chairman’s Cup” in 2004, a distinction awarded to the trainee who has exhibited the most exemplary performance in service, training, and research.
He is currently a Fellow of both the Australasian College of Surgeons of Australia and the Philippine Orthopaedic Association and is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
