Melissa graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2009. After graduating, she gained valuable experience working as a Physiotherapist for Hunter New England Health where she discovered her passion for hand therapy in 2012 at the John Hunter Hospital. Melissa furthered her career in this specialist area in 2013 when she moved to Sydney to work at the renowned Sydney Hospital Hand Unit. In 2014 she completed the prestigious and highly competitive Hand Therapy Clinical Fellowship. Returning to Newcastle in 2015, Melissa joined the team at the Hand Therapy Centre, where she continues to provide evidenced based rehabilitation to patients with upper limb injuries.
Melissa passed her Certified Hand Therapy (CHT) exam in 2015, and is a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA).
