Melanie is the Principal physiotherapist with 21 years physiotherapy experience in private practice. Melanie started Gold Coast Sports & Spinal Physio in February 2003. She graduated from the University of South Australia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy and completed a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2002. Since 2007 Melanie has become an “APA Sports Physiotherapist”, a specialist title awarded by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Her main areas of interest are with sports related problems, lower limb biomechanics, hip and pelvic tendinopathies as well as neck/back pain and headaches. She has completed the Watson Headache® Institute – Level 1, Level 2 and finally Level 3 to be a Watson Headache® Certified Practitioner. She has done advanced dry needling GEMt, DMA Clinical Pilates, Sports Level 1 & 2, and "Safe and Effective Cervical Manipulation”, hip and pelvic stabilisaton and treating hip and pelvic tendinopathies courses to name a few.
