Kate Macdermid joined Northside Sports Medicine in 2019 after moving to Brisbane from Victoria. She is an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist with over 12 years’ experience. In Victoria she was specialising in winter sport injury care and prevention.
Current and past experience has included working with both recreational and elite level skiers, snowboarders, netball players and AFL players.
Team roles include coverage for the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia Moguls and Aerials ski teams, and Netball NSW.
Kate takes a keen interest in running rehabilitation, ACL prevention programs and disorders of the lumbo-pelvic hip complex. She has completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy and is a APA NSW committee member for the Sports Physiotherapy Association.
