Michael graduated as a physiotherapist in 1986. He has a degree in Human Movement Studies as well as Physiotherapy which he finds is an invaluable knowledge resource in treating both spinal and sports injuries.
Michael has now achieved the title of Specialists Sports Physiotherapist (one of only 8 in Victoria) and has over 29 years experience in treating clients with a variety of back/neck problems and sports injuries to all joints. He was a physiotherapist at St.Kilda Football Club from 1991 to 2005 and has traveled extensively with representative teams including Australia (International Rules vs Ireland 2003, 2004, 2005) the Dream Team (vs Victoria 2008) and the Indigenous All Stars (vs Adelaide Crows 2009).
He has the necessary skills and knowledge to deal with injuries in the workplace. He has lectured to both peers and industry on injuries in sport and ergonomic issues in the workplace.
