Darren is a Specialist Physiotherapist who focuses on complex musculoskeletal presentations, providing specialist opinions and management. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at Curtin University. Darren’s research interests include improving understanding of the biopsychosocial nature of pain disorders from a lifespan perspective, and facilitating integration of this knowledge into clinical practice and public policy. He is interested in increasing understanding and outcomes in the workers compensation arena by engaging all stakeholders in the return to work process.
Professional appointments:
Darren has been a long-time contributor to the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia and the Australian College of Physiotherapists in multiple different official roles, and continues to contribute to these organisations.
When not working or spending time with his family, Darren can often be spotted riding his bike on the freeway South bike path.
