Andrew Sharp - BHlthSc (Sp&ExSc), MPodMed, PhD Scholar.
Andrew Sharp graduated from Western Sydney University with a Master’s in Podiatric Medicine in 2015. He is also an Exercise & Sport Scientist having graduated with a bachelor degree from Western Sydney University in 2012.
Andrew is currently completing his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with the Greater Western Sydney (GWS) Giants AFL team, specifically looking at methods to identify potential AFL talent.
His interest in podiatry began some years ago when Andrew received treatment from a podiatrist for a lower leg overuse injury. He had developed his first running injury, shin splints, and was prescribed a customised foot orthotic to help treat the problem. The experience was a positive one, and sparked his curiosity and subsequent passion in podiatry and sports medicine.
Andrew has a special interest in the running athlete, and actively seeks to find the best evidence based treatments for his patients.
