Mary Romanos graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours in 2009. Her honours research was investigating the reliability of a blood pressure measurement in the toes in people with diabetes. This research was published in 2012 in the journal of Foot and Ankle and presented at the National Australian Podiatry conference later that year. Following the completion of her thesis she was awarded the Equus Podiatrist award. This award is presented to the Podiatry (honours) student who achieves the highest overall score for an Honours thesis.
