He has a passion for working with patients with moderate to severe mental illness and adapts his approach to meet the needs and personality of each client. His client’s mental health benefits from the strong therapeutic relationship he develops along with effective tools derived from cognitive behaviour therapy.
Vik’s work in community and private clinics has shown him the importance of valuing his clients social, cultural and biological backgrounds. He has worked effectively with those in immigration detention as well as providing structured therapy programs for those in the wider community seeking help for a range of clinical conditions.
He relates well to young adults and mature adults alike; he understands the concerns of those from other cultures and brings solid experience in counselling those within the complex demands of insurance compensation systems and the NDIS.
