Mr Greg Hanson
Greg Hanson Clinical Psychologist
Psychologist
Suite 803 / Level 8, 135 Macquarie Street, Sydney, NSW 2000
Greg has developed an extensive interest in the treatment of depressive disorders in men. These disorders are often in the context of early attachment difficulties, including abusive childhood experiences, and current interpersonal problems in relationships, work and social functioning. Men are often hesitant in seeking help, sometimes perceiving this as a failing, however, through building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship these initial fears can be overcome. Greg also works with adults with anxiety disorders, other mood disorders, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, life stages and role changes, sexual orientation and identity issues, and interpersonal difficulties. He uses the therapeutic approach of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Narrative Therapy. He is also able to offer these Clinical Psychologist services through Medicare Rebates, Health Fund rebates and WorkCover referrals.
