Kirsten started providing counselling as a recruiter during 1990, when deep recession left millions of Australians unemployed and desperate. Their needs inspired her to return to study at Swinburne University of Technology part time for the next 11 years to qualify as a psychologist and adding a Master of Psychology (Counselling) for good measure. Since relocating her husband and now teenage children to Townsville from regional Victoria in June 2011 she has also earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Psychology from JCU.
Kirsten registered as a probationary psychologist in June, 1997 and since then she has always kept a private practice helping individuals, couples and families of all ages. Concurrent with private practice Kirsten has held full time roles providing assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapy for clients (and their carers) of public community me
