Marita has specialist accreditation and training in cognitive therapy for eating disorders, family-based therapy for eating disorders, play-based cognitive-behavioural techniques, treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder, as well as mindfulness-based approaches for adolescents and adults. Marita is particularly interested in integrating her unique training and research experience to assist children and adolescents with fussy eating and body-image difficulties. Marita brings a wealth of knowledge and research experience to the CFIH team, having published multiple papers and two book chapters on early intervention and prevention over recent years. After completing her Masters of Clinical Psychology, Marita went on to pursue a PhD in the field of eating disorders.
