Debra uses a psychodynamic approach to therapy and in consultation with each client develops therapy to suit individual circumstances. She is trained in delivering cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Parallel Parent Child Narrative, Circle of Security and hypnotherapy.
Debra’s past employment history includes working with CAMHS, an Early Childhood (0-5yrs) team, Adelaide Sleep Disorders Unit (Repatriation General Hospital), Glenside Hospital and private practice.
Debra works with children, teens and adults and families.
Her approach is to work collaboratively with other health professionals to provide you with the best holistic care; she is also strongly committed to evidence based practice.
She has presented her research at international conferences, on radio and to interest groups.
Currently she is conducting research into anxiety and depression in lung transplant patients in conjunction with the Lung Transplant team at the RAH.
