"Muscle pain is caused when we injur our muscles, and scar tissue forms. Scar tissue forms every time we participate in physical activities such as sports, gym or indeed any kind of physical activity that engages the muscle tissue to stretch and overload. Scar tissue often forms within and around the injured tissue of our muscles when contracted which can lead to reduced mobility, flexibility and pain. The goal of the Layoun technique is to break down malformed scar tissue so as to allow the emergence of new scar tissue to form appropriately around the elongated muscle for improved functionality."
