Cinergee is a day spa and wellness retreat providing many different styles of massage therapy. Its owner, Vivienne Bartle, has developed her own technique over many decades. This technique is called muscle realignment therapy and the basis is working on muscle imbalances from top to toe. When you are taught remedial massage you are taught to work on the sore spots, but in 80% of the cases where it hurts is not where the problem is but the end result of many years of using the body incorrectly. Muscle imbalances can start from childhood. When we injure ourselves as a child we cry for around 10 minutes and then we are off playing again. The injury causes muscle memory to remember the trauma and from that day forward our body moves differently. Put a lifetime of knocks and bumps into the mix and posture becomes affected leading to pain. When we balance the body, the pain miraculously disappears without creating more pain in the process.
