Yuki Murata was born in Sapporo, the capital city of Hokkaido on Japan’s north island. It was here where she began her training as a Shiatsu therapist. In 1995-1996 she studied oriental medicine and traditional Shiatsu therapy at Ogihara Shiatsu School. Following this she worked as a Shiatsu therapist in Ogihara clinic where she gained extensive clinical experience. In 1998-1999 Yuki graduated from the Australian Shiatsu College in Melbourne, where she completed her diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental therapies. In 2001, she finished a postgraduate certificate, of Manaka Acupuncture Protocols, and then became a member of STAA. (Shiatsu Therapists Association of Australia).
In 1998 Yuki Murata founded one of the most successful Shiatsu Melbourne clinic, called Bridge Rd Shiatsu, it operated for 5 years until 2004. 2005 saw the establishment of a new clinic, Four Seasons Wellness Centre in Abbotsford, Melbourne.
