Ruth Kendon is a practising naturopath and herbalist based in Sydney, Australia. After graduating in 1984 with diplomas in Naturopathy and Botanical Medicine, she spent the last 29 years in private practice. In addition, she taught clinical nutrition at all levels for over 20 years, at Sydney’s premier naturopathic colleges and at university. For 15 years she was involved in the formulation and design of hundreds of natural health products including foods, herbal medicines, nutritional supplements, and essential oils, including the preparation of evidence dossiers. Ruth has served as a Director on the Board of the National Herbalists’ Association of Australia, the oldest and most highly respected professional body for practitioners of herbal medicine in Australia.
