Dr Niranjan Gaikwad is a Staff Interventional Cardiologist and Director of the Coronary Care Unit and Chest Pain Assessment Service at The Prince Charles Hospital. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland Medical School.
He was awarded his MBBS from the University of Pune (India), in 2000. He trained in General medicine and Intensive Care at the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, UK and at the Gold Coast Hospital, Australia. He was then awarded recognition as a Specialist Cardiologist in 2013 after completing training at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane.
Dr Gaikwad was selected for Fellowships in Interventional Cardiology at two of the most prestigious Interventional Cardiology Institutes in Australia; the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne and later at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. He has numerous abstracts and publications to his name.
