Ann has over 25 years of experience in counselling and mental health treatment. She has worked in the health, community and education sectors.
She is interested in helping people learn more about themselves, overcome difficulties and discover ways to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. She explores inner resources and strengths as well as family and community connections. Ann offers a compassionate, creative and practical approach to therapy and is able to see clients for a small number of sessions or for longer term work. She utilises the following treatment approaches: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, ACT, mindfulness-based therapies, EMDR and Animal Assisted Therapy.
Qualified as a professional dog trainer, Ann has the capacity for clients to work with a dog (Animal Assisted Therapy) during sessions, if appropriate to the client’s individual situation and needs.
