David grew up in rural QLD on the Darling Downs. He then moved to Cairns to study dentistry through James Cook University. Throughout University, David worked across Darwin, NT and rural and remote Central and North QLD.
David graduated with the Henry Schein Halas Award for Clinical Excellence for the graduating class of 2014.
After graduating, David completed public service, having held a QLD Health Rural Scholarship. David and his wife Stephanie (also a dentist) worked throughout rural and remote QLD and at the time, were the only two public dentists servicing 1/3 of the state.
David then went back to his home town and worked within the Western Downs and South Burnett region. Here he was closely involved with the management of clinics and supervision/further education of final year Griffith University dental students on clinical outplacement.
David has now moved to Melbourne, where his wife has begun post graduate study to become a Specialist Paediatric Dentist through the Univer
