Simon Carney is Professor of ENT Surgery at Finders University. He is the immediate Past-President of the ANZ Rhinologic Society, treasurer and Board Member of the not-for-profit organisation, Asia-Pacific Otolaryngology Surgical Training and former Chair of the Education & Training sub-committee of the International Symposium on Inflammation and Allergy in the Nose. He is Associate Editor of The American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy and also on the Editorial Boards of Rhinology and Clinical Otolaryngology. He has an extensive clinical and research track record in chronic rhinosinusitis with his Doctorate thesis producing pioneering work on local IgE production in non-allergic rhinitis. He has authored over 100 full publications / book chapters and has received numerous awards for his contribution to ENT research and teaching. He has a clinical interest in patients with nasal conditions, sleep apnoea / snoring and paediatric ENT.
