Having graduated with an MBBS and BA in Philosophy at the University of Sydney, Jane completed an MPhil by research in Philosophy at the University of Glasgow and then an MAppSc in Neuroscience while training as a junior doctor at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. She then undertook her basic physician training, followed by her advanced training in clinical and laboratory training in Haematology and acquired her fellowships through the colleges of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia ( RCPA). She then undertook 18 months of post- fellowship training in medical oncology training in medical oncology before joining the Sydney Adventist Hospital as a Clinical Haematologist. There, she is Head of Haematology and a partner of the Northern Haematology and Oncology Group, and works as well as a Haematopathologist at Laverty Pathology.
