Dr Peter Tan is a haematologist and specialises in haematological oncology and general haematological conditions. Dr Tan obtained his medical degree from UWA and commenced training at Royal Perth Hospital. Peter completed his specialist training in haematology and bone marrow transplantation at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney through the RACP and RCPA. Dr Tan held the position of the Kefford Leukaemia Research Fellow at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. He performed clinical and translational research in blood cancers in conjunction with the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases and obtained a research degree at Monash University. He continues clinical trials at RPH and the Perth Blood Institute. Dr Tan is committed to making new therapies available to patients. Aware that a blood disorder diagnosis is a concerning time for patients and their families, he aims to demystify treatment and take exceptional care of patients in the long-term.
