Karen Evans (B. Health Sc., Ad Dip Myo) is a myotherapist, Thai yoga practitioner and personal trainer who believes that physical balance and ease is an essential component of overall wellbeing. She utilizes a broad range of manual therapy techniques to help each client achieve the best result for their body's needs whether it be pain or injury management, restoration of proper function or general maintenance and reducing the effect of stress on the body.
A treatment with Karen may incorporate remedial massage, myofascial dry needling or cupping, assisted stretching and mobilizing exercises aimed at maximizing balance and flexibility, reducing pain and restoring range of motion. Thai yoga moves may be incorporated into a table treatment, or as a dedicated mat session in which the body is taken through a series of passive stretches and acupressure techniques aimed at improving balance, flexibility and overall health. Exercise and stretch routines may be suggested for home practice.
