Mr Lau is an experienced and skilled Neurosurgeon. He received his neurosurgery training in both Australia and New Zealand. Mr Lau grew up in Malaysia before migrating to New Zealand where he obtained his medical degree from the University of Otago in 1996. After working as a junior doctor and basic surgical trainee at Dunedin and Wellington Hospitals respectively, he went on to complete his Neurosurgery Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009 following training at Auckland and Starship Children’s Hospitals in New Zealand and Royal Hobart, Royal Children’s and Royal Melbourne Hospitals in Australia. Since obtaining his specialist qualification, he has worked as a full-time consultant at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Footscray Hospital.
