Dr Thomas Pham specialises in medical and surgical diseases of the retina, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, retinal tear and detachment, epiretinal membrane and macular holes. He graduated from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2000 and was awarded a Master of Medicine by the University of Sydney in 2006 for his research into the relationship between macular degeneration and cataract surgery. He completed general ophthalmology training in Christchurch, New Zealand before undertaking further fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland and University of Toronto, Canada. Dr Pham has authored and presented research papers at Australian and international meetings, and has an ongoing interest in research into disorders of the retina.
