Dr Wood is a well respected paediatrician with more than 45 years experience. He has extensive experience in child protection in Queensland. He is also a founding board member and past Chair of the Abused Child Trust (now ACT for Kids). Dr Wood worked at the Mater Children's Hospital from 1975 to 2015, serving as Director of Paediatric Health Services from 2002 to 2011. He is currently on the Board of the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital. His interests are all general paediatric issues as well as complex behavioural and learning issues.
