Assia arrived in Perth from Montreal, Canada in January 2020; a few months before the pandemic. She was born in England, grew up in North Africa and had her podiatry training in Canada and New York City. Her rich cultural background and worldview allows her to easily connect with many people with different cultural backgrounds.
She visited Kalgoorlie in February 2021 and loved it! She likes the life balance between Kalgoorlie-Esperance and Kalgoorlie-Perth. She goes often on Lake Lefroy to do landsailing in Kambalda.
Assia has 10yrs of clinical podiatry experience in both private & hospital settings. She studied/worked in the USA, Canada (Ontario), Canada (Quebec) and Western Australia. She believes that podiatrists are highly trained health professionals that should be the first point of call for anyone with foot and ankle pathology. She has been a mentor to numerous university, TAFE students and loves to be involved in podiatry education.
