Mel is a clinical psychologist with special interest in the behavioural management of diabetes. She also has extensive experience in assisting clients with other chronic health conditions including cancer, rheumatological conditions, women's health issues, limb amputations, and pain, providing behavioural therapy as an adjunct to medical treatments and physical therapy. Mel works from a functional analytic/contextual therapy model, taking a pragmatic ‘here and now’ approach, with emphasis on behavioural self-management to assist clients in optimising their personal health behaviours including dietary behaviour change, movement/physical activity and optimal medical management.
