Dr Salena Bhanji is a warm, authentic and highly experienced Counselling Psychologist who provides psychological therapy to older adolescents and adults. Her main focus is treating Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, OSFED, Emotional Eating and Body Image issues. She also treats comorbid depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addictions and trauma.
Dr Salena's training is in a broad range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Schema Therapy (ST), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR.
Dr Salena is deeply passionate about helping people overcome their eating disorder/s and believes that recovery is possible for anyone. She works with a humanistic lens and tailors therapy uniquely for each person so that beliefs, personal identities, and cultural / social backgrounds can be considered in the therapy process.
