We help people who are in pain out of pain. We either do this through specialised soft tissue treatment or functional strength training and usually a combination of both.
In layperson's terms it means that we help dissolve pain in muscles and connective tissue with very specific massage techniques using deep sustained pressure, angles and friction. We also assess people's posture by watching them perform simple movements like squats, lunges or overhead movements so that we can become familiar with their movement patterns and identify where those patterns are breaking down and how they are contributing to their pain.
We then educate our client about what's going on which is probably the most fundamental way to ensure a successful treatment outcome. We then begin strength training in conjunction with deep tissue treatment through the muscle to iron out any kinks that are trying to creep back with the old compensatory patterns that we are trying to break down.
