Dr Weranja Ranasinghe is an Australian-trained urologist
and uro-oncologic surgeon with a public and private practice
in Melbourne.
Dr Ranasinghe completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery
(MBChB) degree at the University of Bristol (UK) in 2006 and
received membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS
Ed) in Edinburgh (UK) in June 2008. He was awarded his PhD at
University of Melbourne for his work in advanced prostate cancers
and received Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of
Surgeons (FRACS Urology) in 2019. Weranja then undertook a
2-year fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas,
where he gained experience in advanced oncologic surgery
including robotic, laparoscopy and open surgery.
