Dr Andrew Cartmill completed his tertiary education at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. After completing his Bachelor of Science where he majored in Human Physiology, he undertook a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, graduating with Honours. He completed his residency and Basic Surgical Training in South East Queensland, mostly at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. His Advanced Surgical Training consisted of both general and vascular specialties where he trained in four large, tertiary hospitals in Queensland (Princess Alexandra Hospital and Gold Coast Hospital) and Victoria (The Alfred Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital). He has gained extensive expertise in minimally invasive endovascular surgery, along with open vascular surgery, vascular trauma surgery and vein surgery.
