Dr Ian Humphrey was born and grew up in Melbourne. He graduated from the Melbourne University in 1974 and most of his paediatric training was done in Melbourne. He then practiced as a Consulting Paediatrician in Gippsland for three years and then in Darwin in the Northern Territory.
Ian returned to Melbourne in 1996 and worked as a visiting specialist in the allergy department at the Royal Children's Hospital from 1996 to 2013 and in private Paediatric Allergy practice with his rooms in Clayton. He is now in full time Paediatric Allergy.
Ian is a Fellow of the Royal Australiasian College of Physicians and Full Member of the Australiasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, and the European Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
